Financial report from Powers Accounting for the period ending March 31, 2006. Kristy Enger has taken over the payables of our accounting. Motion made to accept the Accountant’s Compilation Report by Justin L. – 2^nd by Dan G.

Committee Reports – Steve H. attended the Region 6 meeting. It has been decided by WAHA that all coaches on the ice for any practice must wear a helmet. This will be enforced at Somerset. Per Mike Connor, USA Hockey may tie the helmet enforcement into their insurance.

Justin has proposed a Friday Night Skills Night. Deb will talk to our Tish and Mae to see if they would consider making a large dinner to serve/sell for these nights.

Review of the volunteer application given at the school; we are not requiring at this time.

Try-outs – Dan will start the on-ice, with Justin giving a Power Point presentation to the parents upstairs. Included in the presentation will be information of yearly expenses and additional ice purchases will be the teams’ responsibility. Justin will copy the board on the presentation prior to that evening. The board will meet October 15 at 5 pm to give input on coaches selection.

Jim is working with an electrician to get outdoor lighting with timers, lights in the shooting dome, motion sensors in the bathrooms and locker rooms.

Our current registration is at 94 with an anticipated additional 15-20 players. Motion made if a player wants to “challenge up” to a higher level, they will need to score in the top 10% of their current level at try-outs, then it will be reviewed by the board and coaches affected on both sides to determine feasibility by Cherie L. – 2^nd by Justin.

Cherie will create a brochure to give to prospective advertisers, including pictures of current signs/locations. We have received a quote from Northern Sign Solutions on painting new signs.

Hockey Boosters Shooting Roosters tentative dates are October 28 or November 4
