Meeting
December 11th, 2007

Presidents Message:
Should any of the teams have parent issues they are to be handled in
the following manner, first the parent should approach the parent
liason, if a parent liason has not been established it would go to
the team manager. Should a board member be approached they too
should forward to the parent liason. If it not resolvable in this
manner, the parties may file a formal complaint with the board.
John G. and Randy W. will set up a meeting with the party or parties
and hold accountable. A formal complaint must be received by a
coach or parent liason/team manager.

Building Maintenance Report:
Skate sharpening is done and ready, signs are posted. We are
now selling cards in the concessions. The electrician has completed
the work in the concessions area. An exterior light needs to
repaired, Jim will take care of. We are looking for a new hot dog
machine to update our current one. Motion to approve by Cherie L.,
2nd by Randy W.
Committee
Reports:
Backround checks are completed.
Dippin Dots are a huge hit.
New Business:
Tournament Promotion: Eliminate gate fees and increase team
cost. Possibly consider setting the dates sooner, January board
meeting set dates for next years tournament. E-mail multiple times
reminding other associations of our upcoming tournament. Send out
to a min. of 10 local associations.
Plywood for bleachers. Dan would
like to purchase plywood for the bleachers. He has a mini mite
parents to put it down for work hours. The cost of the materials
would be about $1000.00. Motion to approve by Jim M., 2nd by Randy
W.
Public Relations -
Establish one person to be our official public relations
person. They would do press releases to the local paper indicating
teams scores, they would soliciate at the schools during open houses
ect. They would handle marketing the association. Dan will send
out a an e-mail to the association to see if anyone would be
interested in taking this position.
Get the older kids involved with
community hours by reading with the kids in their hockey jerseys.
Discuss further in January.
Unpaid balances for registration
-
They are due no later than the end of next week. If they are still
unpaid with no arrangements being made the child will be unable to
continue to play as of January 1, 2008.
