Treasurers
Report – Distributed current statement. We are still paying down
aged payables (have paid around $20,000 and about $13,000
remaining). An inquiry was made to get a large corporate sponsor.
Dave made a motion to accept, Cherie 2nd.
Volunteer
hours are still a big problem. Dan has proposed to hire staff for
Friday-Sunday (he would manage). We will fill all remaining spots
through February 15 with paid staff. We will meet with all parents
next week at mandatory meetings to advise our current situation and
answer questions. A letter was distributed to all players’ families
re-iterating their responsibility for any remaining volunteer hours.
Any unpaid monies will be billed out after March 15, if still unpaid
it will be billed out with a 5% administration fee. All fees will be
required to be paid in full prior to the next season or the player
will not be allowed to play and will not receive a release for
another association. If still unpaid it will go to small claims
court.
Wisconsin Ice
Cart Series presented a proposal to have go-cart races after our
hockey season on the ice. National Kart Alliance does have insurance
available for the event. Cost is $5 per driver and anyone in pit
area. Spectators are also covered under the “pit” coverage.
Armadillio Enterprises Inc. would be the policy holder. NKA pays
$5,000 for spectator coverage and up to $20,000 after the primary
carrier for the drivers. They would have waivers signed by all
participants. They would charge $15 per racer with $5 going towards
insurance and $10 would be given back to the association and we
could charge admission to watch the event. They would also try to
get local business sponsors. We will research the possibility of
promoting the event through the Sesquicentennial group. The cart
racers will bring in a cart to see how it affects the ice. Iceberg
Enterprises would cover any expenses due to damage. Marketing would
be done through the Ice Kart group and they would set up and pick up
the hay bales to protect the boards. Their website is

Update on the
gas-free de-humidification system on a 10-year amortization at
$1,500 per month. Our gas bill would drop dramatically with a
monthly savings. John gave our financial statement to the bank.
