July Meeting Minutes

Board meeting
June 2007

 

In attendance:  John Gauper, Randy Weiderin, Steve Hartke, Justin Lampert, Dan Gilkerson, Kristy Enger, Cheri Link, Deb Quaderer, Dawn Larson.

Finacial report given by Kristy.

Girls program has upcoming meeting that everyone should try to attend.  The coop will be putting together information for future vote.

Reviewed and approved Dan's compansaion package written by Randy.

How do we increase and sell the hockey experience,  we discussed the pro shop, talk with Treadmill to see if they would be willing to work with us regarding product in the pro shop.  Offer skate sharpening, drop off and pick up at the sharpening center in the pro shop. Add FAQ on website, including myths versus facts regarding the hockey experience.

Zamboni battery needs to be ordered sooner than later.  Zamboni maintenance program is an est. $2695.00 per year, further discussion tabled.

Dan and Justin put together a rough draft of coaching committee duties.  Discussed hiring coaches for squirts and above rather than parent coaches.  Teams would have to split tournament expenses amongst themselves for the coach.  Coaches would be monetarily be compansated. Motion to approve 3 non-parent coaches for levels squirt, peewee, and bantam, this includes $1000 per season payscale.  The coach and coaching committee would be in charge of 'B' coaches, as they would have to work together. Motion by John G, 2nd by Deb Q.

Locks have been replaced, code to office to be changed.

Lighting Committee is Justin, Randy, and Dan.  They are authorized to select a contractor.  This must be sone on weekends throughout July and the copasitors must be running at 90%.  Motion to approve by John and 2nd by Steve.

Mark Dybdahl donated fire hydrant for outdoor rink. Thanks Mark!
