SYHA Board Meeting

Meeting called to order by John Gauper

Present: John Gauper, Cherie Link, Dan Gilkerson, Jim Marty, Kris Wroblewski, Steve Hartke, Deb Quaderer, Michelle Manz, Justin Lambert 

Motion made to accept minutes by Justin L – 2nd Michelle M  

Treasurers report presented Motion made by Jim M to accept treasurers report – 2nd by Cherie. 

Steve will create a letter that Dan will e-mail to the association regarding the upcoming concerts. Julie will include in the next newsletter, and Mark will update the website with a link to sign up through the concessions. 

Discussed using the website program that would track player stats. It was decided we would only track wins/losses, hat tricks, and shut-outs. 

Dan will check into additional vending machine options. 

Cherie will check into arena signage and Michelle will contact the DOT to see about directionals like the Float Rite Amphitheater signs. 

We are currently paying $50-$150 per hour for accounting services depending on what they are doing. We found an alternative option that would do the same duties at $30/hour. Justin made a motion to switch accountants – Michelle 2nd. Cherie made a motion to pay off the current accountant after our August taxes – Deb 2nd

Comments from parents regarding a joint team with New Richmond were not favorable. Mark to add a note to the website to see what interest there would be in having a U-12 team and Dan will send an e-mail to the association. 

Kris will pursue on-line registration options with Mark. Dan and Justin will also work on getting registration on-line for a proposed 3 or 3 summer tournament. 

There is still one ATV that has not been claimed from our fundraiser. Steve will check with the winner to see if he intends to pick it up. 

Justin will coordinate a 3 on 3 tournament fundraiser in August or September. Sub-committee of Dan, Justin & Jim to complete details. 

John proposed a golf tournament fundraiser for August 3 at either Bristol or St. Croix National. Cherie will get signs made and check with Re-Max on their mailing list from past tournaments. Shane Demulling has offered to help. Sub-committee of John, Cherie & Steve to complete details.  

Justin and the Coaches Committee will put together an application for coaches, details of how try-outs will be handled, how coaches will be selected, and a Team Manager application and duties.
